HELP COMES IN MANY FORMS. OUR FOCUS IS TO PROVIDE MEANINGFUL RELIEF TO OUR COMMUNITY MEMBERS IN NEED.

Aiding the Vulnerable

Mrs. Pamela F., a 60-year-old former secretary and daughter of a veteran suffers from clinical depression and orthopedic injuries – one such injury left her permanently unbalanced. She is living in her old family home which at times seems to be falling down around her. She lives on $774 a month– combined social security disability and supplemental security income– as her only support. When her pipes burst in the recent freeze, Advocates helped her pay for the repairs.

Advocates has a special heart for veterans and has purchased two computers for Rickey and Tiffany so that they could continue their education as most classes have moved online due to COVID/19. Rickey has now graduated with an associate’s degree in business, and plans to begin his bachelor’s degree. He hopes to use his degree to help veterans like himself in the future.
